So much has happened in the past month! I am so excited to share with you! My parents came up for a week to visit and go to a home-brew beer conference. While they were up, Evelyn was baptized! It was such a great day! She was very good and entertaining as she gave the congregation big smiles and happy feet. Roger and Julie are her sponsors. Afterward the service, we all collected at our house for lunch.
The following week, Alicia (Nate's sister) came up to visit. We had a great time catching up with her.
Then, we went to Holden Village for a week long vacation! Evelyn had many first on this trip:
Her first hotel stay...
Her first boat ride...
Her first bus ride...
Her first Fourth of July...
Here she is all ready to go!
We stayed in a dorm-like lodge with two beds, a crib, and a table. For some of the feeding, we were in our room. To prevent the neon orange food from getting on our bed, we sat her up on her changing pad!
She started teething while on the trip. Here she is (in her tie-dye t-shirt) trying out a teething biscuit.
So tired!
It was a great week of relaxation, family time, and hiking! I went on my longest hike ever- ten miles to the beautiful Lake Hart. Check out facebook for more Holden Village pictures.
More hiking pictures from Ten Mile hike (only two miles, go figure) and Monkey Bear Falls:
We stopped in Leavenworth on the way out and the way home. We love this fun little town!
We are back to reality now. Nate's job it going great! He is officially spinning off to his new company this week. As for me and Evelyn, her daycare will be closed for the next month (!) so we will be trying out a temporary daycare starting next week. Olivia is glad to be home and to get a little rest after spending the week with a dog sitter.
