The Holidays

The holidays came and went in a blur. There was a lot of fun and excitement.

We out-did our neighbors in lights in our yard! It was hard since our neighbor across the street had (or, still has) blinking lights with music. I think ours was a little more tasteful!

Of course, Evelyn loved opening and playing with all the shipping boxes!

Thanks to Alicia and Deidre for bringing the props!

We went to the Bellevue Botanical Garden's light show. It was un believable! I was expecting santa and reindeer, but instead, we got the entire garden made of lights! I have never seen something like this before.

And finally it is Christmas eve!! Nate, Evelyn, and I went to the candlelight service at church. The pastor told us there was 450 people at the Christmas pageant earlier in the day!! This is our future... This year, I was very happy to celebrate at the adult service.

Christmas morning starts off with stockings! Baby Girl's stocking is as big as she is!

We had fun playing Santa the night before to surprise Deidre and Alicia on Christmas morning. Since their visit was put together at the last minute, they didn't think they would have much on Christmas morning.

After a super healthy breakfast of baked french toast (with too much butter and sugar to mention!), we were off to the races with the presents!

Mommy got a new camera!

Evelyn got this very cool turtle that projects lights and plays soft music. Mommy and Daddy like it a lot too!

After too much excitement and a melt down from Evelyn, we were off to Christmas number two at Roger's house. Sorry, no pictures!

The next day, Evelyn tries to recover from the overwhelming day before. She is really tired and upset. Turns out, she started cutting two teeth on Christmas! We were so busy we didn't even notice...

That night, we go out to the mall and out to dinner. Here she is eating her first calamari! Yum! When we were waiting to get in the the restaurant, we noticed she was starting to get a fever. Dinner was quick and loud! We hurry home to put Baby Girl to bed. :(

The next few days her fever continued to increase. After calling the nurse, we started a plan to make her better. In a few days she was back to her normal self- happy and full of energy!

A big "Thank You" for all the wonderful gifts!

Since Christmas is 12 days long, we continued the celebration (at a more reasonable pace). Evelyn took her time opening her gifts and we make cookies! The "F" was an "E", but a nibble here and there is inevitable!

Ta-da! Here Evelyn is showing off her new teeth! She is now up to 8 teeth!
