9 Months old!

Evelyn has been out for almost as long as she was in! I can't believe she is 9 months old already! To celebrate her birthday, Nate and I gave her her first haircut. Here are a few pictures:

First, take a bath.

Then, get seated with a towel around your shoulders.

Next, comes the cutting!

Mommy got the front and Daddy got the back.

A potato masher is a helpful distraction.

Here's the view from the back.

The aftermath.

She was very good for the whole thing! Here are a few more recent pictures.

In her tutu for the neighborhood party and the first official day of sunday school.

Too... many... puffs...

Everything has been going really well lately. (I hope I am not jinxing things) We have started attending baby sunday school and meeting new parents. We will also be going to another parent get together at church in a few weeks. In October, Nate has a big business trip touring around Asia, so Evelyn and I will be going to GA to spend some time with Grandma and Granddaddy! I am really excited about the trip. Tell me, have you ever traveled to another timezone with a baby? Did you keep to your original timezone for feeding times, nap times, etc. or did you try to adjust?

Active girl

That's what Na Na says every time I pick her up from daycare. It makes me smile!

Are you ready for fall? I sure am! Up here in the Pacific Northwest, houses do not have air conditioning!! Our house has been around 80 degrees this week- yuck! We had our first cool day today!

Evelyn had her first fever this past week, but is fully recovered now!

Between Nate being out of town for work, Labor Day, and half days at work, I am totally ready to be on a normal schedule this week. There is so much excitement in the air with school starting. Everyone at church today was super energetic. I am looking forward to the classes starting again- Evelyn's sunday school (we get to go too!) and the adult bible study on wednesday nights (they have the nursery open!).

Have you thought about Halloween yet? I have! I want to make Evelyn's costume, and maybe Nate and mine too. We are going to be the Flintstones! I love Halloween. Now all we need is a great kids' party to go to!

Now, here are a BUNCH of photos and videos. (Sorry I could not get the videos up sooner, technical problems.) Enjoy!
