How was your April? Can you believe Spring is in full force already? We have been enjoying a beautiful, sunny spring here. Lots of playground visits!

Evelyn has really gotten into shoes lately. She has always loved taking hers off, but now she wants to know how to put them on (herself, us, and the dog). She also likes to wear Nate and my shoes.

I found a board book version of Harry the Dirty Dog! It was a must buy!
Today we spent the day in La Conner attempting to see some Tulips. Not many Tulips left, but lots of fun art galleries.
Evelyn is becoming quite the big girl these days! More real smiles and lots of personality! She is a little less frustrated now that she is understanding things we are telling her.
We took the front of her crib off today and lowered her mattress. She now has a toddler bed. I really hope she does not fall out!! I am a little nervous about this...
Evelyn has had a bit of a #2 problem that is now a little better controlled by prescription. To avoid embarrassment, I will not publish any more news on that. At the doctor, she weighed 23 pounds!!
She also has two new teeth almost all the way in - her top two "fangs".
We had a few issues with childproofing that has now been resolved. Evelyn discovered she could open the toilet and put things in. How fun is that?! So, we installed toilet locks. She also could open all the drawers in our bathroom. Once, she found my lipstick and drew on the wall. Fortunately, lipstick comes off really easily with eye makeup remover. Another time, I found her wrist deep in my petroleum jelly while sitting in my closet. Another good ending - she had not taken her hand out! So, Nate installed a dozen or so more drawer/cabinet locks. Finally, Nate came home one day (I was cooking dinner) and found Evelyn sitting on the dinning room table! We now sit on folding chairs and put them away when we are done.
So, we are always on our toes here!
