I was registered as a new patient last Wednesday at Evergreen Hospital. I already like them better than my last doctor. I didn't get to meet Dr. Dydell, since it was her day off, but I did meet one of the nurses, Tony. She gave me calendar of my progress. As of today, Sunday, May 1st, I am eight weeks and six days along. Between this Monday and the next, TIF will transform from an embryo to a fetus! TIF will grow to the size of a medium green olive (about 1 inch).
My morning sickness is getting better, and I am able to eat more. I guess it's time to start putting on the pounds! I am getting used to buying and ordering food, with all the new regulations. I have made a few slip us, but nothing major. Nate and I (and Olivia) went for a walk/ hike yesterday. I realized I needed to sleep for twice as long as I exercised! We walked for about 1 1/2 hours, and I came home a crashed for 3 hours! I am told my energy will return in the future.
We have decided to let more people in on the big secret when I start my 13th week. That day is May 31st. I don't think I will tell my boss quite yet, but extended family and friends can know then.
