So much happens every day with baby girl - she is growing and getting smarter by the minute! She is now 1 1/2 years old and has just passed her first anniversary of her baptism.
She is working on "light", but is having trouble with the L.
She tells Olivia "out" and "shhh".
She really is starting to want to do somethings on her own. Right now, that thing is putting on shoes. She loves to put on her own shoes and any other shoes she can find. I can't wait until she starts doing this when we are getting ready to leave the house! :)
We are trying to get out to the playground once a day to get her some exercise. After rainy days she wakes up in the middle of the night - wide awake!
She got this wooden toy on Mother's Day. It has pieces of fruit that are held together with velcro. It also has a wooden knife for her to "cut" the fruit. She loves to cut it and put it back together, over and over.
She is also letting me tie her hair back in all sorts of cute hairstyles. This is a really good thing since her hair is so long now.
Evelyn and I went to Georgia to visit my parents. Other than the terrible adventure getting there (flight delays and rescheduling), we had a fantastic trip!
Thank you to the Hemby's for the animal sound book! She loves it! (See video below!)
Evelyn wants to copy us all the time! This is very evident at the dinner table. She was not happy about her corn being cut off while Nate and I got to eat it off the cob. She did a very good job cleaning off what we left behind!
Here is our little trooper after many hours at the cell phone store. First picture with my first smart phone!
As a pat of a christmas present, we watched Evelyn's uncles for an after noon. We had a cook out at the house, then went to the park to fly kites and check out the new playground.
Here she is trying out the big girl swing!
She figured out that dropping rocks into the creek makes a cool sound! Plus she got to play with rocks!
When Evelyn was not very interested in her snack, I made this ode to Ursus Wehril.
I am so happy I found a board-book copy of Harry the Dirty Dog! She seems to really like it too, particularly the pictures!
On Father's Day weekend, we wen to the EMP Museum in downtown Seattle. It is a museum for rock and roll and sci-fy. Very cool!
Evelyn is the funniest person I know! Here she is with hot pads on both hands (she opens the drawer to get them out and she puts them on herself!) carrying her sippy cup. She performed this task with such focus and determination!
Her are a few pictures from today: playing on the floor and going to the park.
More corn pictures. The fork was a nice touch. This time she got her own cob.
The three of us and Nate's mom went away for the weekend to the Olympic Peninsula. It was so much fun!
Port Townsend
These ducks were very used to people! They were following us!
Lake Crescent
Grab some popcorn - here are some movies!
This one is the BEST!!
